Re: Animal Trainnig vs Animal Talk

ChrisDDickey - I follow the same logic as you do. Moreover I did a bit of research in our world, and there are animals that do not take to domestication at all (not to mention training for riding). One example is a zebra. Seems close enough to a horse to work right? Nope - zebras cannot be domestica...

Re: Animal Trainnig vs Animal Talk

Somehow I managed to miss that paragraph around training Griffins as mounts :D but I did remember that they were hard to train from somewhere. Anyways, I enjoy reading all your opinions on this topic. I'm not reguraly going into debating the rules with my players, only when I can see they want to do...

Animal Trainnig vs Animal Talk

Hey fellow GM's! I'm having some doubts in regards to training animal companions. My Scout decided to branch a little into that and is considering which talents and skills to take. An now we came to a dispute: wouldn't it be possible to train an animal using Animal Talk? it even looks to be a bit ea...

Re: Nethermancer at Circle 3?

you also have a good combo there - with Spirit Dart and Astral Spear (the first lower Mystic Armor, the latter doing more damage). You should be able to weave 2 threads each round by now and that gives the spear a lot of flexibility - do not underestimate the range it has - look for opportinuties to...

Re: Earthdawn Companion?

Can't find the exact quote, but they're waiting for the last couple of artworks to finalize the book. I guess it's a matter of weeks before the PDF lands. That's the case. We haven't settled on an official date yet, but it will probably be in the first half of June for the PDF. It is first half of ...

Re: Cutting head with single strike

I once went with a home rule about "headshots" and such. It went terribly. Because above a certain power level players used that option exclusively because they were sure to hit and inflict a quick death. Nowadays in my games called shots can be used to bypass armor if the shot or strike is made to ...

Re: Running away from combat or away from melee

Sorry for keeping quiet in my own thread... been away for a week. Anyways, my scenario is just a thought exercise, so to that end I was assuming all characters in the scene are of equal skill and the target... well it can be a glass statue that needs smashing, does not matter honestly. The point was...

Running away from combat or away from melee

Hi All! First post here, straight to the issue: How do you handle a combat situation (similar to) that involves two guards in front of a key target. Lets say the PC and his enemies are in a room that does not offer enough room to circle around the guards without coming in "arms reach". PC has to str...
