Re: Air Dance worth it?

I'd note that extra attacks, especially at lower Circles, have been made a lot less accessible than they used to be, though. You really can't start with Second Attack and/or Second Weapon any more. I'm guessing that's why the threshold was set a little higher than it used to be -- extra attacks are ...

Re: Cracking Bank Hall - Character Journals [Spoilers]

*Whew!* Finally finished this -- sorry it is so long. I ended up covering all three of the final sessions together, because it just never made sense for her to stop and start again. Cathryn writes in, as one might expect, a light, flowing script, with many unnecessary loops and twirls. It is, howeve...

Re: Cracking Bank Hall - Character Journals [Spoilers]

I can assure you, Slimcreeper, that at no time during the scenario did I think we were on our way to the North Pole to meet Santa Claus! I also realized the reason I was thinking "O'Rourke" for a last name is because that was the last name you gave us for Mary, the victim, and that certainly shouldn...

Re: Cracking Bank Hall - Character Journals [Spoilers]

First, thank you for setting this up as a thread we can all share! I don't think I'd have thought of that. But secondly, I must protest. An Elf named Catherine Montague was something called a "Weird Scientist", I also heard people call her a "Byron" but she would sometimes correct people who called ...

Re: Zhan Shi

In this case it was more that I chose to approve him playing as a Zhan Shi - it was definitely his preference. Unfortunately, it's an online game, and it's kind of been on hold all month because my computer's in the shop. *sigh* And even when I get that back, at Play-by-Post speeds it may really be ...

Zhan Shi

I did a quick Search and it's not looking like we've talked much about them at all, so... I wanted to check with some more experienced GMs. I'm running an older-edition game (really, first-through-third. They were all pretty compatible until you guys went and did some deep thinking about hows and wh...

Re: What language do Therans speak?

I assume that the racial languages are magical in nature at their core. It's the only way I can accept that all orks speak a language in common that they all understand, even with their short life spans and hundred of years spent in kaers. Oooh. I love that idea. The idea of languages being...

Re: Earthdawn Companion?

Not when there's mythical Yamatai, the Yamato kingdom, Kami myths, the Uji clan structure etc not to mention all that good stuff you could pull out of the Kojiki & Nihongi. Add a big helping of Great Dragons and you've got a good start on an Earthdawn take on Japan. Beats samurai and feuding daimyo...

Re: An Elementalist Cavalryman

MY first thought was, but I think this character would be fun to play. ...And you're done. That's a pretty solid reason to play a character. But, OK, some further thoughts. First, I agree with Graymayne's basic point that, always in Multi-Disciplining, you have to think about how the two Disciplines...
