Hi everybody. We are five days out from GenCon, the big gaming event held every year in Indianapolis. I’ve spent the past couple of weeks working hard to get ready and… well, I’m not yet. But I still have time!
I’m feeling like I may have bitten off more than I can chew with this one. Most years I create and original four-hour session that I run three times. Since this year is the 25th anniversary of Earthdawn’s release, I decided to go big and create a two-part adventure that calls back to the adventure in the original promotional flyers for the game. I’ve got the outline done, and the pre-generated characters are made… but I have a bunch of scenes still to flesh out. I suspect that I’ll be finishing things up in the hotel room beforehand.

- Thursday, August 2, 9am-10am: Not Just Another Dungeon Crawl. This is a seminar with myself and FASA Project Manager Andi Watson, where we talk about different kinds of challenges for your game. (Lucas Oil Stadium, Meeting Room 5)
- Thursday, August 2, 11am-12noon: Taking a Seat Behind the Screen. Another seminar with Andi and me, this one is meant for players looking to run a game for the first time, or anybody looking for some top-level, introductory advice. (Lucas Oil Stadium, Meeting Room 6)
- Thursday, August 2, 2pm-6pm: Silver Legacy Part 1. The first of two sessions for the first part of my anniversary adventure. (ICC 243-244) (SOLD OUT)
- Friday, August 3, 9am-10am: Morning with FASA Games. This is our regular company panel, Q&A, meet & greet, that sort of thing. (Lucas Oil Stadium, Meeting Room 1)
- Friday, August 3, 12noon-4pm: Silver Legacy Part 1. The second session for the first part of the anniversary adventure. (ICC 243-244) (Tickets still available!)

I will probably be at the FASA Games booth (Booth 1929/2029) after the seminars and before my game on Thursday, and also on Friday after the seminar and before my game. I’ll also be around Sunday, but as you can see from my schedule above, that’s looking like my only day to really wander the dealer room and pick up my swag. I’m happy to sign books or chat with fans, so try and stop by and say hi!
