When will the updated pdf of the Player's Guide be available?

Coming soon. I just got the final proofs from the printer last week and sent them the updates.

On the Extra Point Costs Chart on p. 131, it lists Occult Power as costing 1 per Level. However, in the race descriptions for Ur-Obun and Ur-Ukar on p. 115 it lists Psi 1 or Theurgy 1 as costing 3 points, and all four Occult Powers packages in the Lifepath Tour of Duty section on p. 129 only balance to a 20 cost if Psi/Theurgy costs 3 per point (not to mention that they can only stack with other sources of Psi/Theurgy in the LifePath if their cost is linear rather than quadratic).

I assume the chart is incorrect here, and should list Occult Power as costing 3.

Thanks for the flag, this seems easy to misunderstand. It is correct in the book although somewhat ambiguous.

The Occult Characteristics (such as Psi and Theurgy) cost 3pt like any other characteristic. "Occult Power" is supposed to be the individual rites and path powers, which cost 1pt.xlevel each. So for instance, the Lifting Hand power costs 1pt, the Throwing Hand power 2pts, and the Crushing Hand power 3pts. Did that make sense?

Well, that's embarrassing. Yes, I'd missed the Occult listed after Characteristic, and assumed Occult Power referred to the Occult characteristic. Thanks for the clarification.

So, I calculated totals for all the lifepath stages, and there are a number of errors. This was made much easier by the sidepanel that described what totals the various stages were supposed to have!

I found these myself recently. Don't know what went wrong here, perhaps we rushed the aliens for whatever reason, or the double checking drowned in some other work. I think we fixed most of these in the Lifeweb freebie pdf that the Colonel uploaded here the other day
