Avoid Blow v's Parry

I'm pretty sure the answer is "no", but I'm not sure where/if it's been explicitly stated:

Can you use both Parry AND Avoid Blow against a single attack? (presumably trying one only after the other had failed)

(Rules for Free Actions, only one defensive action per attack.)

im going to be more specific this time:

"However, mostly dropping in to note that the equipment bonus is probably gonna get halved with the next revision. So the difference between Sizes 3 and 6 is gonna be just 1."

Not officially. That change didn't make it into the current print run of the EDR Player's Guide.

You could do an x-block against a great overhead swing using both weapons, although I don't think it is a very good block because there is no easy option to counter-attack. You can slip to the side and swing both weapons against the attack wack-wack, then rebound of the deflected attack to return the strike. Alternately, the 2nd parry can act as a strike against the attacker's extended arm.
