I can't believe I'm saying this, but Gnomes are also mentioned in the Empire Army Book. :)

I think it would be good for DM to continue with original themes, to maintain its own identity and not feel like just an alternative Warhammer; to have its own soul in a way. I'd like to play races which are not available in any other game, or at least don't look anything like in the other games (Goblins I think are a great work as they are so different from stereotype Goblins. Orcs not so much and I'd be worried Lizardmen would be too close to GW ideas). This is a big criticism of Mantic's Kings of War for instance, which although being successful does not seem to have ideas of its own unfortunately.

@Paddy649: You don't plan to use the minis for GWs 15mm Warhammer game, are you? ^^

I have to say: Some kind of vampire would be nice. Not neccessarily a whole army, but maybe as a character or something. Also the Southern Human Empire (don't have the name right now) would be easy to integrate, as they already exist. From the brief description it sounded a lot like italy/spain.

Wendigo - absolutely not - I'm a HOTT player whose boycott of the "Evil Empire" must now be entering its 10th year. One of the things that appealed to me about Demonworld in the first place was that they wern't GW - that and the fact that the figures are awesome!

“Plan for new armies”
I put here all my propositions: South Kingdom, North Duchy, Beastmen army, Ice Witch army and Undead army.
You can add yours.
Principle for me:
- just a reorganization of armies using only existing unit.
- possibility to use them now in Demonworld version 2 as an house’ rule.

Enjoy!

OPTIONAL ARMIES.

I don't see the point in having an "evil human army" as Isthak already exists. Background speaking, Alkado is not allied with Isthak... he is one of the Icelords ! He is part of Isthak. I think if people want a human army, they just get the Empire... and truly, Alkado being a Necromancer AND Warlock ?!

Icewitches or Beastmen armies... Isthak rules allows players to play such (60% of Beastmen or Icewicthes max is enough) so I don't see the need of changing anything. It's Demonworld we're playing, not WarHammer !

For the Undead army, just wait the FASA team to developp it - Bruno and I already translated the Undead armybook of Bruno and sent it to FASA.

I don't see the point in having an "evil human army" as Isthak already exists.

I don't like the mix with Beastmen and Ice witches are more a "snow" army.
A simply like this concept (see next).

Background speaking, Alkado is not allied with Isthak... he is one of the Icelords ! He is part of Isthak.

Even better : so when he is at home he has is own army based on evil humans, necromancers, undead and so on...

I think if people want a human army, they just get the Empire...

This kind of army can't be made with the Empire.

and truly, Alkado being a Necromancer AND Warlock ?!

Level 1 Wizard...
You can reduce this to Warlock level 1 and Stars for Undead...

Icewitches or Beastmen armies... Isthak rules allows players to play such (60% of Beastmen or Icewicthes max is enough) so I don't see the need of changing anything.

It's another way to make an evil army it doesn't replace Ishtak.

It's Demonworld we're playing, not WarHammer !

I'm a roleplayer not a wargamer : stop this kind of reflexion, please.
And hordes of evil humans aided by armies of undead is a concept that date from the origins of heroic fantasy.

For the Undead army, just wait the FASA team to developp it - Bruno and I already translated the Undead armybook of Bruno and sent it to FASA.

I know so I give here some food for thought.
